Students must obtain a visa from one of the United States diplomatic mission for entering USA, The non-immigration category of visa for students is F1. Students need a valid I20 with SEVIS Number to apply for the students Visa with all the relevant financial and academic documents and apply for the visa at the designated consulate with visa application form. F1 visa can be issued up to 120 days before the program start date as listed on the students I-20s. But students cannot enter the United States more than 30 days in advance of the beginning of studies. Insurance for VISA Carrying Insurance for Visa is not mandatory.
On Campus jobs include working as Teaching Assistant, Research Assistant, Working in College Library, Admission Office etc..Off Campus jobs will be based on CPT options which are provided after 9 months stay.
Students from STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) background are permitted to stay for 29 months. Students from Non-STEM background are permitted to stay for 12 months.
